"You probably know this already but there will come a day when Bren will win.

She will take your $50 you were going spend on smelling waitresses and hide behind the furnace in the basement and launch missiles through your attic at passing whirlpools.

Then she will reassemble the chards of your shattered house into shapes that you don't understand and build a whole new house and attic. Seeing through knots will never have seemed so pedestrian.

My advice, when that day comes, is to ride it out."
